Title: help with hatch replacement
Post by: nick_1979gtv on July 24, 2007, 11:55:09 PM
Hi,
I'm new to this club and need some information and advice.
I have a 1979 model gtv and need to know if i can replace the hatch with one from a later model.
The one I have is rusted beyond repair and needs replacing.

Any help would be much appreciated
thanks Nick

Nick,
we have a number of repairers and spare parts people in the club.  Try Huhg @ Monza/Alfpa repairs in Bayswater, Italian Job in Oakleigh or Milano Spares in Thomastown.

They may well have a suitable hatch you can buy and swap over.

Alternatively, someone like Rankins panels can do a repair job possibly.

Good luck

P.S. we like to see photos of new members cars too posted on the forum so over to you.

The guys mentioned above could also sell you a fibreglass hatch (I know Hugh has them) - no more rust ever, and hatches are notorious for rust...
