I am trying to work out what this sender is for on the twin spark engine?

MD,

I believe that this one is the oil pressure warning light switch.

Thanks Alan.

I cannot imagine the Italians installing one for high and one for low so I take it that it is for low oil pressure warning in addition to the "actual" oil pressure guage readout ?

Yes low pressure warning light.
With the guage running off the sender in the usual location.

Many thanks. When we build the new loom for my car, I just want to be sure all the inputs are correct.
