Title: Custom Number Plate
Post by: Miss Alfa Sprint on December 05, 2010, 11:59:44 AM
Hey guys,

I am thinking of getting a custom plate for my 1989 33 1.7 IE (red), here are a few combos i am thinking of

AR 905 (chassis)
ZAR 905 (chassis)
AR 8933
AR 3389

in either black with white letters or white with black letters, slimline or normal

What do you guys think? going to order this week :)

Miss Alfista,

These custom plates in the old days used to be as cheap as chips, but like everything else nowadays that has government involved, its a rip off. With the red 33 it would be nice to have a plate colour maybe yellow if u are a romanista fan,or even better in blue and white if tu sei LAZIALE,but i guess whe are all on a budget ,id go for black on bianco and AR I am sure anything will look nice on the 33,u being on the feminine side pink would be nice but does not match alfa rosso,  buona fortuna and whatever your choice ,the 33 e piu bella.ciao

Thanks Lombardi for the feedback

Thinking of going for the slimline now even though it costs a bit more it looks better and def black and white

Still can't decide on the combination

and thinking of AR 3317 AND IE 3317 now too

cheers

Miss Alfa Sprint

Slim line plates are neat.

I got those for my 156 as the slimline was just a neater look as an off set on the front bumper.  Was going to order replacement plates as per original issue on the car in 2002 but they would have cost $300 more.

http://www.vplates.com.au/ (http://www.vplates.com.au/)

may be you could get a custom slimline plate for your series AR 900.  Plenty of options.

Cheers.

How disappointing, 'Miss Alfa Sprint', more like 'Miss Alfa 33'...

So there you have it, my suggestion is MISS 33.

Part of me will still be Miss Alfa Sprint.... i don't know if i should change my user name once i start driving the 33 around  :-\
Going to miss my sprint days.... but you never know... i might find one to buy one day and turn it into my racecar....thats something i am hoping to do in the future .... fingers crossed  ;)

Easy just tell your Dad that he can't drive the 33.........

Or MISS 33 could be interpreted as an abbreviation for something else if it's your 33 is miss firing  ;) or missing bits or missed a service  :)

Sorry Ive been no help at all, but seriously what about TIPO 33 or is that taken ?

There is an excellent race Sprint for sale at the moment.  Purchase price is probably around a third of what it would cost to build.

Don't worry about it, they will get over it.

I just brought another Alfa home yesterday, my wife didn't say anything as usual but you can sense the fury and see fumes.

My wife is the quiet tormentor type.

But then today I just spotted a new handbag and new pair of shoes in the room!!!

Miss Alfa Sprint - The plates look great good job
Did you buy another car ?

I was your age when I bought my GTV the old man was so pissed off we didn't speak for a few weeks
I used to leave it parked out on the street, then one day he comes up and tells me to put the car inside
as he did not want it out on the street in case something happens to it ! So I guess he got over it.....

These days I have to battle the flamin missus............I don't know whats worse

HAHA.... this is why i am hoping to marry a car crazy person like me one day...  :D.. I actually buy more car stuff than handbags and shoes lol

I didn't buy the car... my 33 was a 21st present from my dad and he bought it for me in june because i didn't want a big party he surprised me with that! It's been hiding in his factory ever since..

We had my dads factory bbq yesterday and mum saw it and kept asking who's car it was untill dad finally told her.. then she's like "HOW MANY ALFAS ARE YOU GONNA BUY????"  ::)

That's great how they send them to you in the mail in VIC..... In NSW We have to go to the local RTA, take a number and wait while they SLOOOOOOWWWWLY work their way through all the numbers before you!

I'm still waiting for my advisory letter (from 2 weeks ago) that my new plates have arrived and I can pick pick up from my local RTA office.... MITOQV..... for my umm, Mito QV!!! ;D
