Attached is a pic of a 75 engine bay.
Q1 2.5 or 3 litre?
Q2 L-Jetronic or Motronic?
How are they distinguished?
Thanks,
Peter.
Thank you :-)
I think that's a Motronic. The plug on the AFM looks narrower than the L-Jet cars and there's a wiring connector tied up with the sparkplug wires on the top of the cambelt cover for the crank angle sensor.

I have attached another pic which hopefully might help confirm from visual identification?
I assumed that the casings of the ECUs would be different and therefore the identification easy - but not so it seems.
Otherwise, how can you tell definitively?
Sounds like the lid (black cap?) might need to come off - but what do we look for then?
Has anyone got a pic of a Motronic unit?
Peter.
PS The greenish tinge is NOT biological - its a feature of the graphics compression technology!
The extra connector on the cambelt cover I'm talking about is for the crank angle sensor, this reads a toothed wheel on the back of the crank pulley. The L-jet cars don't have this.
This is a 3 litre Motronic
The 3 litre Motronic has a crank angle sensor and no wires going to the distributor :)
Wasn't the motronic only fitted to the Potenziatas? Normal 75 3.0L V6's still ran L jetronic?
Alfa ACT, is your 75 a Potenziata?
Does it have black seats or grey?
Certainly looks like a Potenziata engine bay to me :)
hi ,
a mate , had a Potenziata and it had a return spring on the th/body ??
I have a Potenziata, no return spring on the throttle body, maybe someone added it from a GTV6 :)
