I'd love this to be in my driveway!
Absolutely nothing wrong with the predecessor - the 156 GTA as a few owners will attest too ;D But it will be interesting to see its performance figures and a $ if it eventually reaches our shores.
Ed, You are right about there being nothing wrong with the 156 GTA. But there is so much that is right about Ferrari V8 (even a detuned one). Alfa #3 could be in my not to distant future, possibly your GTA when you upgrade ;)
Brad
Given the price of the 3.2 Brera I imagine the 159GTA will be north of $100k.....I wonder how far north ???
Given the price of the V6 Brera i can't image the Holden version being any less that $150k and any less than $200k for the Ferrari motor. The Alfa/Maserati/Ferrari ship need to be careful they do not hurt the Maserati vehicle market pitched in the low $200k bracket. This is just my two cents worth. Love the photo's and the concept. it would be great to see a 4WD 147 V6 Hatch for under $60k if that was possible.
I wouldnt say no to a Maserati Gransport (like the the blue one sitting @ Zagame's and on the screen of my phone) to replace my 156 GTA as i agree, i cant see a V8 159 GTA being offered for much under $150k given the 156 GTA was $95-$100k.
Come on Brad... i need money for my new business venture... Buy my GTV and my GTA as a package deal for $55k :D I've some Fast Eddie racing decals left still that i can put on them for you ;D
As long as it works out better than the Lancia Thema 8.32 from the 80's. Based on the same platform as the 164, a front wheel drive luxury sedan powered by a transversely mounted Ferrari V8. This was the days before traction control remember.
Probably sounded like a great idea in the meeting.
I'm with you Ed, I think a late-ish model Maserati Coupe, even a 3200GT would be a great next car (I mean they are "Alfa's" now anyway) 3200's with low k's are well under $100k now.
