Title: Plugging iPod into CD Charger socket
Post by: tony8028 on September 27, 2010, 06:38:52 PM
Sorry, this one has been done to death, but I am sure there will be others who are doing this...

I purchased the chord that allows you to plug an iPod into the CD changer socket...it works great, only thing is that you need to "trick" the deck to flick over to the CHANGER input but clicking SOURCE twice when its powering on.

My mechanic showed me this but it takes several tries before it works....it can be hard to get to work at all...

has anyone else got an easier method?

thx Tony

Its not an issue to do with the cable, its more to do with the fact that the head is looking for a CD changer rather than an iPod chord, so you need to trick the head unit into staying on CD Charger mode so you can hear your iPod.
