Title: Spider track car
Post by: Spider Man on September 26, 2010, 03:10:35 PM
What I'm after is suggestions for what to put in her..
I think I would like you keep it Alfa, but it doesn't have to be from the same era..
Any cool conversions you know of or suggestions you have, or even if I should get an old 105-115 2ltr and work that, please let me know..It won't have to be road legal as it is going to be a play toy

Some picks of the new toy

Keep it all Alfa, go with a worked Alfa 2l and you will have lots of fun.

Improve the suspension.

Speak to Bruno at Maranello Pur Sang, he has your twin.

But keep it all Alfa and with a bit of work, you can race in Historic Gp S.

You bought Leon's left hooker.

I hope you got a good price ?

I would recommend TwinSpark 2.0 from a Alfa 75 from there the options are endless.

I have the engine and running gear for sale from a very low km Alfa 75. ;)

Definitely mate we have to talk.. I'll not be working on it for approximately a month. I'm going to be tweaking the white one first.. Nothing major just Webbers and electronic ignition and cosmetic things. But I don't get to Perth for a couple of weeks yet
But yea I think an Alfa motor will be the shot to keep it in the class for running against similar opposition..

And I don't know if I paid too much.. What do you think its worth?

And while we are at it what do you think I should have paid for the white one?

You Spider looks great! your car is a classic one of the coolest Alfa's ever.

Call me when you are free we will catch up for a coffee.

Without seeing the car I can't tell you how much you should have paid. If you are happy that is all that counts.
Alfa's are bought with the heart not the head.

Now this interesting,,,,

This is the kind of thing I love doing...
I have stuck a V6 in to my old 84 laser before and dropped a rather worked vershion of the same ford motor in my MX6, but with big ass 650 turbo on it lol...
