Title: WTB SPIDER
Post by: Mark Fletcher on September 21, 2010, 08:58:12 AM
My daughter wants a red soft top... she had a red Mk1 Golf Cabriolet... is a Spider a realistic alternative for $9000? or just buying trouble?

I would appreciate you wisdom as I do not know much about the Alfas of this period.

Seems 9-10k will buy a reasonable 98 model?

Your advice would be appreciated.

Mark

That price is at the bottom end of the scale.  May need a full service & belt change, tyre ???

Make sure you  get a pre purchase inspection done at a dealer or Alfa specialist.  The  $100 ( or what ever) is essentially for peace of mind.

Probably better to spend a bit more and get one that has books, up to date servicing etc, .

Check out both price options and compare - perhaps you may decide to buy a car and get work done yourself.

End of the day you get the best car you can afford.

Cheers
