Title: 156 Horn No go
Post by: len105 on August 24, 2010, 09:18:39 PM
Guys/girls/the rest ;D

Need to get my 156 re-registered this week - and the horn doesn't work. I knew it was an intermittant problem - but it has now turned into a permanent one. Just doesn't respond when you push down on the centre of the wheel. De fella won't give me de piece of paper I need without going......beep beep.......

Took it to a sparky last Friday - who, after spending several hours doing.......I don't know what......suggested that "I take it to someone who knows about Alfas !!"

Took it to "someone today ( I thought ) who knows about Alfas "- and he has suggested a new "part" ( can't remember the exact name ) but was quoted from Ateco around $1200 with a 3 week wait !!

Anyone had this problem before ?? If so, some suggestions on what to do would be gratefully received......there must be a cheaper way of finding a solution for..............beep beep !!

There is no way you could contemplate surviving in Italy without a horn !! Well, its not that disimiliar here !!

Not what I was thinking I guess, so this might not help you.

I was thinking the clock spring has broken, then your horn, switches and airbag will not work.

Sorry of no help to you.

Cheers
Neil

Not a loose wire near horn, got to be something simple.  Check fuse!!!
