Title: ASV Euro Car Parts Melbourne
Post by: ALFA156DALE on August 22, 2010, 10:18:29 PM
Hi,
Going down to Melbourne hopefully this weekend in the hope at getting some wheels
for ALFA i was wondering if anyone has dealt with ASV Euro Car Parts in Cambellfield,
what are they like to deal with? do they have a good range of parts?
(most important range of WHEELS) Is it worth a drive from ballarat?
Or I just had a thought, Is there anywhere in BALLARAT i could get ALFA some wheels?
Thanks all
   Dale

Do you mean Howitt ST in Ballarat or South Yarra  :-\
I think you are talking about the chrome ones on ebay?
Not a great fan of chrome wheels on an alfa (No offense to any chrome lovers)
I think alfas are a bit more race cars  ;D rather then low and big fat chromees

Dale, while you're in Melbourne check out Mag Wheels & Tyres in Chifley drive Preston. They have 147/156 update TI wheels 17 X 7 for $250 each. They're a really good copy, so good you'd be hard pressed to tell them frome the $1200 each originals, have a look at their website.

Spoke with them a couple of years back when chasing a 33 IE gearbox (for the Sud). Deal was the gearbox was cheap but located in Sydney (would transport to Melb for no cost if I purchased). Would suggest you ring and ask them beforehand what cars they have on site. If you make the trip to Campbellfield, would recommend a short trip further to Milano Spares in Thomastown and there is a good chance they have the wheels your after (but would also give them a call beforehand).

Good luck with the search.

Paul
