Had some issues with the GTV6 not wanting to start ion cold days a few months ago.
You turn the key, it kicked, but if you didn't catch it the first time with a little throttle, once it stopped that was it for a period of time. It would crank the starter no probs but not a kick or a fart out of the engine.
Fast forward to today, out to Mulgrave for work, back into the city, park on St Kilda Road, another appointment, and when I came out to start the Beast the same thing - I should add this is the first time this has happened for 3 months I think.
So it kicked, stalled, and has not given one whimper since. Now in times gone by you could wait for 3-5 minutes, it would give another kick and if you caught that one you were away. I waited, went to get lunch, tried again, called International Rescue (the Wife), tried again, no go so my mates at the RACV delivered the car to the backyard where the Ducati is currently having a laugh at it.
This time it is just dead, lots of starter motor, but not a single explosion over a piston.
So, it is either fuel or volts.
Easy with volts in part, turn it over see if there is a spark. On a carbie car (or bike) I would give it a gut ful of Start Ya Bastard and if it didn't kick it was definitely not fuel.
But on a fuel injected car I am assuming if the injectors lose power then you don't get fuel, so how do i check this. Can i measure volts on the injector wires and if so what should i be looking for/seeing.
Any help would be appreciated and general troubleshooting tips on the FI system on these beasties may help someone else out in the future.
Hopefully have some time Saturday morning - off to Canberra this weekend for work.

I have tried that and the response i got was " i couldn't be less interested" ring me when you get home. This is despite on another occassion when i got the call " she was lost and wanted to know where she was".
If you have got a good one keep them. The dud ones are stacked six deep at the tip.
first things first are you getting fuel to the engine the easiest way to check is at the front of the engine the little metal container where the rails link pull the fuel line off and crank it over and feul should flow. you can spray start you bastard i n through the air intake it will kick it over, have done this before

Could it be fouling plugs I had a set of NGK BP7ES that kept fouling I had used NGK 6's and 7's before with no dramas ................... very annoying , at the momment I'm running BOSCH WR78'S
I wouldn't bother taking the fuel line off the rail. Just turn the ignition on, open the flap in the AFM and you should be able to hear the fuel running through the rail and/or the fuel pump running. If you can't, the first thing I would try is wriggling the plug on the double pump relay that controls the fuel pump.
