The trouble is they won't let you register a left hand drive car here in SA, unless it is 30 years old, for some totally illogical reason. You would think a new European car would be far safer than some old Yank tank. It would be nice if someone could successfully challenge the stupid ruling. I have a right hand drive Volvo 480 Turbo from England which was passed easily, but if it had been a left hand drive one there would be no way they would have passed it. Apart from the different drive they are identical, so why is one allowed and the other not?
