Hows this for a look? bloody nice or what?
Cheers Paul
yep, that's an amazing looking car!
Looks like photos are from la terra promessa, STUPENDA .
Hard to tell by looking on phone, but they look like Borbet wheels. Do a search on them, see if they're the ones. If so, they are around, but quite rare and expensive in Alfa sizes.
Edit - Ah yes, now I can see them properly, they're not the Borbet, sorry to give the wrong lead.
They look like compomotive wheels, not sure, but Pep would know, Pep??
Ed
Link to Compomotive site.
Check TS wheels, they look very similar.
Opps, lets add the link.

Hi Paul,
I think there is a car on Ebay, cheap, with wheels that look similar.
Cheers
Andrew
choderboy urs are a little different, they look like a simmons b45 knock off i think they are a 1 piece rim,
i cannot remember who it was but there was a set on here simmons but a 2 piece last year i think it was unico that had them ill try to find it but they were well priced, i have a set of b45's but they will be $$$ as they are valued at $3200+ to replace now unless you find a 2nd hand set
I think Choderboy's are borbets.
Dehne, yes it was me selling simmons, but they were not like choderboy's
Ed
Yeah, Borbet Type A 7.5 x 16 with a 20 offset by the looks.
i think ur ones are more like the ones he was after
not urs choder the ones paul posted, sorry for the confusion i was a little confused when i wrote it and could not be botherd rewriting it so just posted it
Just saw this thread
Paul those wheels on the GTV6 are Compomotive, if it was 20 years ago I could've told you what model but Ill find out and get back to you, gives me something to do as the wife and kids are asleep - yeah baby !
Years ago Wheels magazine used to have a centrefold feature (no not sheilas with their ya ya's out) and there was a black Ferrari 328 with those compos on it and would you believe a EA Falcon convertible built by Roman Autotek with the same rims, that looked quite nice too.
Choderboy your Turbodelta looks fantastic I love Borbet Type A's on GTVs, mate thats a beautiful GTV, has a mean stance and those Borbets really fill the guards. In the 90's there was a local mob called Remotec who did Borbet Type A replicas, nearly bought a set, but the originals look better. They were popular on 911's as well and Ive seen them on a 105 and let me tell you I nearly had to change my jocks.......... so I really like those rims ;D
Agree, Borbets are such a cool looking wheel, I remember them being very popular on Porsches and 3 series bema's as well as gtv's
Sorry pep, I posted my response same time as you. (re: Porsches)
Thats right Edoardo, do you remember the navy blue 2 litre 105 we checked out in North Melbourne with the Borbets on it ? Circa 1993
Man, my memory is not as good as yours, Was I interested, or you. Where in North Melbourne?
Sorry guys, we are getting off the topic here.
Unfortunately I dont know where you can get compomotives from. However keen to find out what they are worth
At that time we both had Fiats, so it was check out the Alfa or go to Uni, guess which one we chose..........
I think that car was at City Peugeot can still picture it - gorgeous

Thats OK apart from the 5 second time lag between our posts, it actually looks like you read mine perfect timing ;) and yes a lot of 3 series had them as well.
You should get a set for the 500
Paul,
Alans spot on Compomotive TS wheels, Stuckey Tyre Service in Brunswick lists them on their website
club sponsor too.
http://www.stuckey.com.au/wheels_details.aspx
Failing that you'd probably have to order them from the UK
Good Luck
Thanks for the pic Choderboy now Im really salivating
Woa..those wheels ARE sexy!
They look like wheels I've seen on a Ferrari...can't remember which model. I think it was possibly one of the F430 models.
Nice um wheels, be nice if they were bigger though
;D ;D ;D ;D
Your a ripper Paul
As they say be careful what you ask for :D
What compomotive model are those?
Looks like she's running a heap of negative offset
and probably foul the gaurds
Nice speedhumps
The German Borbet is somewhat similar to the Compomotive although less so in the detail. The star shaped centre spokes are not actually flat and straight. They have a beautiful rake back to give each spoke a flat triangulated area. This wheel really suits the angular surfaces of the GTV and similar treatment on other cars and is period safe. At the same time, it has a deep dish suggesting that it is wider than it really is for the 7.5" rim.
Apart from the above attributes it deals nicely with the Wanker factor. People who otherwise may be admiring your car until they look through your rear rims and to their horror, you have no rear brakes. The Borbets deal with this nicely as they cover the area very well.

I always wondered what that was called...
