Hi,
Anyone know any garage around Brisbane that is willing to change the accumulator of the selespeed?
I've tried to ask a few garages in the northside but they refused or not willing to do so.
Thanks.
Have you tried Automotion at Albion - Cam and Chris there are club members and work on Alfas, Ferraris etc.
If not luck there, Ken Percival AROCA Qld competition secretary is an auto trans specialist. His company is Acacia Automatics.
Once it is fixed, buy a manual!
Cheers,
Brent
I didn't find them yet but the garages I've found are all on the club sponsor list as well,
it really frustrated me....I think I'll call Ken and hope he can fix it for me.
Thanks.
Try Avanti Spares at Northgate or A.P.F. Motors at Boondall.

avanti spares is not able to do that and APF refered me to CL restoration which eventually turned me down on just changing the accumulator
Call Dave Noble at Motorvation 3257 7755, he'll be able to do it no problem. He was the head mechanic at Alfa Romeo Brisbane when they returned to Brisbane in the late 90's
It's got me curious. WTF is an accumulator if not the old definition for a battery..?
I recently changed mine-turned out it was not the Accumulator at fault. So I have one for sale for $80 pick up, and a local machanic that can do the job. Mechanic is Simon 0447548569
location is at NIngi, near Bribie Island.Alow an hour to do job. Garth 0475913103.

There's a Hydraulic pressure accumulator in the selespeed electro-hydraulic system.
I always knew there would be a downside to failing grade 6. Early puberty has a lot to answer for.
