Title: ALFA 164Q Body Kit repair
Post by: tony8028 on June 24, 2010, 01:09:21 PM
Following on from my other topic:

http://www.alfaclubvic.org.au/forum/index.php?topic=5050.0

I am looking at buying a 164Q that needs some work done on it. One of the things for repair is the front and back bumpers on the bodykit. They both need repainting and one is badly cracked. The other one has smaller cracks but will also require work.

Can anyone have a stab in the dark at what these would cost to get repaired?

many thanks , Tony

When my Q was damaged the rear skirt was bent but not cracked. It was about 200 for the straightening and painting. My panel beater (just spoke to him) said the problem is that the compound is not a straightforward plastic, but a compound rubber which may need to be glued, so it can get complicated. Hope that helps.

I helped my mate fix his car that had damage to the front bumper and this guy,

came out to do it.  He specialises in car bumpers and bike fairings, and did a fantastic job.

Sorry, I should have looked to see where you are.  It was a while back but I think it was about $150 for welding only, no paint.
