Title: FS - GTV 105 gearbox
Post by: GTV-TS on June 13, 2010, 09:36:11 PM
GTV 105 gearbox in good condition.
Gearbox has good history - came from the Alfa factory fitted my 105 GTV2000 purchased in 1979 (not as stated below in my comments - got confused with my MGB) with 65,000 km on the clock.
Car was unfortunately scrapped due to accident body damage at about 100,000 km.
Gearbox had been given a synchros freshen up at around 80,000 km
It did service in a Gulia Super for about 10,000 km,
and has been resting since.

$ 600 ono

Gearbox still for sale.

Should have mentioned before, I know the full history of this gearbox as it came out of my 105 GTV2000 which I bought in 1976 with 65K on the clock.
the car came to an unfortunate end around 1981 with about 100K on the clock, the body was scrapped but I kept the mechanicals.
The gearbox then had about 10 K service in a Guilia Super, but has been resting since.
It did get a synchros freshen up around the 80K mark.

Don't bombard me with other requests as this gearbox, and sway bars I am advertising on a separate post, is about all that is left of the old girl.

Seems to be mixed opinion on what these gearboxes are worth, but I'll start by asking around $ 600 and see what comes up.
