Nice package Kalel! EC was certainly a better for money race weekend than Historic Winton....lots more laps for Group S, and even more if you had an Alfa.
Good to see Bill Magoffin's race starts are still the same ;D
Well edited.
Cheers all. :)
Looked like a lot of fun.
Those GTVs have an amazing sound too. 8)
I love it!!! Great video
Thats grouse, I just want to go to Eastern creek now. Heaps of awesome cars, I like the Austin Healey Sprite.
Go Alfa Romeo!!!
Hey Frank
You missed a grat event.
Lots was happening= driver training skills on Saturday qualifying and 1st race in the wet.
Sunday was dry with lots of action.
No panel damage but a few DNF.
Sundays last race in the dark with headlights on was like= Drive it like you stole it.
Anyone else have any more pics and video ?
Great Vid Aranchini
Hope to get you Victorians up here soon.
Robert
C'mon Robert, you're not going to bite about my comment on Billy's race starts above, I wrote it knowing you would probably read this!
Hey Phil
What can I say.
Have tried everything to get Bills car off the line better,
When the Alfettas- 75 take off, they are goneeeeeee.
The 75 did this in all 4 races.
I started 1 race from the second row,and 1 race from the third row and sailed past Bills car (pole) at the start.
The 75 led for 2 laps till Bills horsepower and tyres worked together.
I entered Bills car in the West st drags a few Wednesday nights ago and tried every different start I could, but all it would do was smoke up the back tyres with no traction.
Crowd loved it.
Bills engine is fully legal and doesnt have D-ports or tongues in the inlet manifold, but gee,it goes well .
Looking forward to the East Coast challenge with you Phil at Wakefield Park
Invite your Vic mates like Frank M etc to join in.
Robert
Good to see everyone is enjoying my starts! You would think The Captain would have figured out to go right by now.
Robert knows I can get it off the line of I really have to (like ECC '08) but it is more fun having a few to get past eh!
Great footage though, well done.
Stop teasing me, please, your killing me. I love it wet and in the dark. ;)
Hey Frank
Was great watching your in car footage at Bathurst.
Looks like you enjoy a bit of fun.
Come play with Phil B at Wakefield.
Bring your mates with you.
State of origin will be great, but no biffing, unless u bring Slater + Hayne with you.
Wet?????...At this time of the year,Wakefield it wet and slippery.
Make sure your headlights + high beam work.
Racing with the Veloce guys is fun.
Just ask Phil Baskett.
As for Bill M,he just like leaving licorice marks all over the place.
He likes playing in the mud.Just look at his picture.
I enjoy building and prepareing his car.
What other customer would allow you to join the West st drags to make sure the clutch works.
Anyway, you Victorians should come and play.
We came to Phillip Island,,,your turn now
Robert
Robert
I have spoken to Phil B and the guys at Bathurst and cannot make it this year. Though it is 100% on the to do list in the future.
So far this year has been unforgettable, my car is still in one piece, which is a miracle, so I don't want to be too greedy and bite off more than I can chew.
Yes I do want to play in the mud and smoke my front tyres ! Thanks for the enthusiasm.
Cheers
