There is a pretty simple online tipping competition organised by Yahoo!7, I know there are some AFL fans (and some tragics) amongst our ranks who would be interested in a friendly and social tipping comp.

No entry fee, no prizes, all for the glory.....

If there is enough interest then I will happily set it up and post the link etc....

You will need to create a Yahoo!7 ID (anyone in the Veloce Racing Association should already have one) once you have your ID then join the competition which I have just created called "AROCA" with the imaginative password of "Alfa".

If my Tigers had won the last 3 as i tipped (against the odds) then i would be equal top ;D.  Who else will always tip their team even when everyone expects them to lose? ;)

I'll only tip against my Bombers when it is going to be a guaranteed bloodbath (such as west coast in Perth .. or anywhere).

Current standings....glad to see I am back to my usual tipping form!  Notice how I deliberately made my cumulative margin 116!!

It's only getting worse for me and... despite their form (0/4) - which i witness very closely each game day, i am still backing the Tigers against the Weagles. :o

Half way point of the season, attached are the leaders (for now).

Just like my team - on the bottom of the ladder and not much chance of getting much better.

I've actually stopped entering my tips and am actually getting a better result ::)

If i add in the 16 odd matches i tipped the tigers for due to blind faith but they lost means i would be in 6th with 77 not stone motherless last ;)

Although I am still entering my tips, I always tip Carlton.....no use finding excuses, reality is I'm a celler dweller, just like my team!

I might just give up altogether on footy....cars are so much more rewarding ;D

.. and like the Bombers I'm on the verge of dropping to the bottom half.

you've changed your tune... not so long ago you posted something about 'cream rising to the top'! ;D

Now sort Carlton out so they dont spoil Richmond's valiant efforts at securing the priority pick.  Carlton have had their share so start winning a few more games so the tigers can benefit.

I'm curious as to how Round 22's "clash" between Carlton and Melbourne will play out. Do you think anyone is going to go after the ball at the first bounce, or will the just stand around with hands on hips waiting for someone else to grab the ball, leaisurely stroll to their goals and register a score.... and conceed the priority pick???

They will have to play but i can imagine a keepings off style game with lotsa behinds and not too many goals.  Dees will probably play to win though cos they wont get as much advantage as the blues or the tigers from the priority pick.

... could it be a draw I wonder?

Scott, refer to first post...No prizes, all for the glory.  Having said that I'll buy you a beer at the next club night if you can hang on to your 3 tip lead with one round to go (BTW were the cats practicing for the finals this week?)!
