Title: Traffic in 1905 San Francisco
Post by: Sheldon McIntosh on April 27, 2010, 11:02:46 PM
Very cool video.

Makes Melbourne traffic look pretty well-behaved.  Close call at 6.17.  Must be Frank Musco's Grandad.

Yep, straight through the gap, plenty of room, Nonno.

Thats cool man, and no road rules.

Almost as hypnotic  as a 40 hour drive to Perth.

 Bump

Actually an amazing ammount of cars on the road for 1905. Quick goggle search  reveals :  Henry Ford had just  formed the Ford motor company ,but they didn't start producing the  model T years until 1908. Largest manufacturer in 1905 was Oldsmobile with  425 cars. An oldsmobile cost $4,600. More than a new 3 bedroom house.
