You beat me to it.  What kind of cred. do you need to commission a car and have it approved by AR ?

Commissioned by German collector Martin Kapp, the TZ3 is made up from 8c Competizion components. (What I would like to know is what become of the dissgarded 8C)It has a carbon fibre tubular frame, carbon fibre tubular chassis, aluminium bodywork, 4.2 litre dry sump V8 developing 420 BHP. The car is reported to be at SpaItalia and Monza for the Alf Centenary Celebrations in June. Be there or be square!

Does anyone honestly think it looks better than an 8C?  That rear end is terrible, nowhere near as well proportioned as the TZ1s and 2s, and anyway they had an excuse as they were racecars.

This is just one lucky hard-working guy's fantasy car, and good luck to him.  But I wouldn't get my hopes up about it becoming anything other than that.  It will never race I can assure you of that.

That said, a weight of 850kg, down from 1500 something kg is very impressive, and shows what can be done.

i agree with sheldon , no its not the best looking car but its still better then any new alfas ive seen devoleping ,also it is just one hard working guys fantasy.

and i believe id prefer to own an 8c then the tz3 any day .. the look of the 8c is one  of a kind.

Time will tell. If we see it racing at Spa I will email a shot straight to Sheldon.
Apparently the 'Hard worker' is also a racer.
It doesn't really matter what it's fate is. The original TZ that was also unaffordable to even the well healed 'Hard Workers' in it's day, but the difference then is that the Factory went racing. They also made 26.  The TZ3 is not really likely to fit in anywhere now, except maybe display days etc.
But I think it has a certain something. Similar paint graphics to Stuart Thompson's maybe?
