Title: while driving, selespeed shifted to N
Post by: ex3e1989 on April 20, 2010, 07:47:48 PM
Hi,

I was driving down a road on 5th gear at about 60km/h. Then as soon as I accelerate up an incline (selespeed still had the car in 5th) the car automatically shifted to N.
Is this a worrying sign? All I had to do was manually shift up a gear to get the vehicle back into 5th gear.

This is actually the second time it has happened going up a hill. Last time was a month ago driving up a hill on 4th gear.

i would be taking it straight to a auth service centre as this could be a big problem about to happen, with any luck it is just the fly by wire

thanks. i'll give a call tomorrow

what's the worst case scenario? is this usually an indication of a gearbox fail?
