Words cant describe what it was like to compete at Bathurst, it exceeds all expectations, unfreakenbelievable!

This might explain it better

Awesome.  Needs subtitles though, I couldn't understand what you were saying.

Also, is it just me, or does the Alfa Centenary Badge on the dashboard look a bit like the "Scream" mask?  Possibly quite appropriate in Franks car.

WOW. What a great drive Frank, unbelievable. (If that was practise it looks like your on the money straight away).

The little green Alfa that ate sports cars; clubman's Mx5, Triumphs Porsche etc. I'm going to watch it again and see if i can turn Frank up a bit

U D man!

Yep, subtitles for those squeals!   ;D ;D ;D       The great time you are having in your drive is so evident in that video.  Excellent work!

Sensational driving Frank. :o  When does the "Frank's Best Laps Around Australia" compilation DVD come out? ;) It would be a gem. Somehow your video also really shows just how steep sections of that track are. Can't ever see me having enough guts to go around that at better than Driving Miss Daisy pace. Excellent stuff.

Thanks for the great response. No need for subtitles...

Good call on the badge. Looks scary when its blurry. Might call it "The SCREAM Badge", most appropriate for Bathurst.

I have another 90 minutes incar, plus more from Joe's car, and some with both of us on the track in the rain. Slowly cutting it down.

Cheers

Awesome Paul.  Here's one of the clips you're talking about:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMkBzcr6DFs.  Passed the Alfasud at 1.50 - guessing that's the Gulson trofeo sud.

Paul, Grouse find. "Beautiful little Alfasud" and it's green!!! Lucky I didnt see that Racecam before the event. So fast into the esses!!!

This is a vid of the start of the event. Each run was a 30 minute timed session begining under pace car. Weather was perfect and I cleaned my windscreen, ready for "Regularity".

Awesome as always, but how many times do we have to tell you Frank, stop hassling those Clubmans, Lotii, Porsches, and V8s, you know they're faster than you, so stop passing them.  Loving the orgasm at 7:00 too.  That last time down the hill was definitely the smoothest, looked very fast to me, is that because of less traffic or getting to know the track better?

That video of the Celica is pretty sweet too, it's amazing the speed he carries through the corners.  Love the commentary down the hill as he catches the V8s at 2:15 "Get out of the road you F- big ugly things"  I can see why there were so many crashes in those Group A/C days when there would have been so many different speeds coming down that mountain.  Bring it back, it was freakin awesome.

Sheldon, I just got lucky? It would take a few more laps to get to know the place, and a few more cars I suspect.

Cheers Paul, Yes, that is what I call close enough. Turned in too early.

Bathurst kept me on my toes the whole time, and just when I was thinking it was almost over and time to go home, it started to rain on the top of the mountain. Here is my second run, the dry half followed by part 2, start of the rain.

Yes, Would like to see the 155 Q4 going around Bathurst, somewhere in the 2:30's...

Another video from the end of the event. The track had been declared wet and run groups where being toped up which gave the opportunity for my brother and I to run together. Been a few years between drinks, and was lots of fun. Cheers

This is the incar footage from my brothers car. The last run in the rain was incredible. Joe sums it up well while following half a dozen cars down conrod straight, hits 5th flat out, and they disappear! This is my nomination for video of the year.

Great drive and a great video. Frank, can we pass the hat around to get Joe a bottle of Rainex, some new wiper blades or both? Do you know what type of camera he is using - it takes very smooth video..

ps.. only a brother would have left that big gap on the inside for you to pass...
