Title: Air Box on 105 coupe with Twin-Spark conversion
Post by: cjheath on April 07, 2010, 11:27:52 AM
After my TS was installed, it had just a simple filter sock, and I'm looking to fix that with a proper air filter. I believe that the standard 75 TS air box doesn't fit, though I don't have one to try. I'd like to get cool air in, rather than from the engine bay, of course.

What air box are people using in these conversions? I have the standard 2 distributor arrangement with both coils on the wheel arch below the induction setup, so I'd like to find an air cleaner that fits in that spot, rather than moving too many things around.

You'll have trouble trying to fit the standard twin-spark air filter in as it is very large, most of the conversions I've seen just use a "Pod" Style Filter, that's what I intend to use on my conversion.  You may need to make up a small adapter from the AFM as the original one is square not round, not a hard job.  There's heaps on e-bay, not sure of the quality though.
