Title: Saying cheerio to my 33 Boxer
Post by: franksie on March 15, 2010, 06:51:07 PM
Hey all,

I've not been an Alfa owner for long (6 months) and have loved driving my red Alfa 33 boxer (1986) with all its quirks and characteristics but it's finally met its day :'(.  I'd put photos up but I think it's only good for spares or a real enthusiast to get it going again.  It was registered until Feb 28th in SA (XHM 843) and I drove it to work daily up to then, but if you leave it for a few days it really struggles to start up again.  I guess I'm looking for advice on the best way to send it on it's way.  Is there a specialist Alfa broker in Melbourne? Is there anyone here who's keen to look at it/have it (I can put up photos and a list of all that's not right with it)?
I'd be interested at any offer, or any advice.
I know this post is a bit vague so can put up any more info if anyone's interested.  It's done 230000km

Thanks!
Franksie

New battery?

I bought an alfa 33 a couple of months ago, same as yours.

Battery is currently almost dead, but jump starting it, its as lively as any other car.

Chuck in a new batter if thats the only thing causing you to sell it
