Title: The Dream is Real
Post by: lombardi on February 26, 2010, 10:48:09 PM
Finally bought and picked up my dream car-actually better than my dreams-I am the proud owner of a 86 GRAND PRIX GTV 6,driving home could not get over the heavenly subliminal sound of the exhaust, running through the gears i swear it sounded like an F1 car runnung down the straight at albert park-the way this car goes round corners-its that good it seems unnatural,i am buzzing-will post photos after i detail it.CIAO sono innamorato unaltra volta.

Lombardi congrats on the GP purchase.

There are the best looking Alfetta / GTV  IMO.

which one did you buy ?

I am actually trying to find out for a fellow Alfisti number of GP's sold in OZ and it would be good to find out how many original one's are left.

John.

Congratulations Lombardi, looking forward to seeing the pics!

John, I am assuming that there is a 116 series register of sorts, is someone keeping records of Australian delivered GTV6's?
If so I would be really interested in knowing how many GP's are known to the club and what there build dates were... does anyone know when the last Australian delivered GTV6 was delivered? I met a guy at Spettacolo who said he owned a GP that was sold 'new' through a country dealership around 1988.
Anorak stuff I know, but interesting nevertheless! When you talk to people about GP's the conversation inevitably turns to the number built.
