Quick question now so I don't waste time later...

Where is the engine number on a 147/156 GTA?

Also what would I expect to see? 7 numbers or a combination of numbers & letters?

back of the block just behind the left hand head (or front head in GTA config). If you are standing in front of the car, follow the right hand side of the front head down to where it meets the block, and you will see a flat area sticking out, which will have the number stamped on it. Should be something like AR16102-xxxxxx, but those 5 numbers may be a little different, as that engine code is from my 3.0 GTV.
