Title: TS Tacho Calibration for 116 GTV coupe conversion
Post by: Tristan Atkins on January 23, 2010, 11:53:38 PM
Hi guys,

does anyone know why my tach is frozen at 2000rpm when the engine is ideling or at less than 2000rpm? Its recieving the signal from one of the coil packs and works fine above 2k.

Any help kindly appreciated.

Tristan

Tristian,

Is the needle bent and hitting the face of the Tacho.
Quite a common problem I believe.

I have just put a TS in a 116GTV and have no problems with the tacho.
I have just connectted the original white feed wire to one of the TS coil assemblies.

Alan.

Hi Alan,

The needle appears to be straight. I might try having a fiddle with the tacho.

thanks for the heads up! :)
