It is always good to take the car for a run.  The more opportunities the merrier.  Take some pics to post if you can. The club has not been to the Black Spur for about 2 years.

Some details:

Make sure you cut across to Toolangi from Healesville as well.  There are some magic roads up near the spur that are also less 'trafficked'.

A good spot to stop for lunch is at the Giant Steps in Healesville, which is part of the Innocent Bystander cellar door I believe.  They make killer thin-based pizza there.

Can i suggest a stop at Rayners Orchard ( http://www.raynerstonefruit.com.au/sales.cafe.php ) at Woori Yallock maybe for morning tea? Robyn and i stumbled on upon it last week end. Really is a nice venue for a cuppa. Then it's a short spurt up Don Rd to Healsville.

i'm down. If we can get at least a weeks notice I should be able to get work off. Otherwise I'll work around it. I've been wanting to go here for years but have never had anyone to go with. make it happen!

Hi there AlfaAlfa.

I thought that the trip discussed on our forum had already been run by those Vic Alfisti concerned. I only say that as the club is organising the same one and we do try and balance things out here.

If not just to let you know, the Club now has on it's calendar - late May, a date set for a run from the usual Whitehorse Road via Kangaroo Ground,  Yarra Glen, Healesville, Marysville for morning tea and finish at Warburton and for a set lunch & drinks. We do this run every 2 years or so and it's very popular.

If you can wait for May when all Alfesta events have been & gone, then all club members and visitors are welcome.  As a club register event (non sprting so a social activity)  insurance is now all sorted out and any visitor is welcome  and will become a 'day member'.

Cheers.

oh ok i didn't know that.

I love that drive! I used to go and do that on my own when I first got the car. It's my favourite drive so far.
Fantastic, I can def wait till then, and hopefully by then I'll have sorted out my shocks and brakes.

This trip runs through the black spur  ;)  Having said that, it's the roads out of Marysville that are the really fun ones.

Get those cars ready!

This run will be in conjunction with the Fiat car Club so should get a good turnout.  Lunch facilities are not too bad either.

Cheers.
