Title: Australia Day Federation Vehicle Display in Kings Domain - Urgent
Post by: John Hanslow on December 18, 2009, 05:32:00 PM
Romeo is the featured marque and Club members and other owners of a Veteran, vintage or classic Alfas are invited to attend.  Space will be provided for up to 20 cars and this should be a great day for all. We are rushed for time but if you own a car 25 years or older or know someone who does, get involved and book.  Veerteran and vintage cars are required in addition to the popular 105 series sedans, coupes and spiders in the club too.  We need entries in fast as a commemorative booklet will be printed with your name and vehicle details.  The application form says entries have closed but they have few Alfas booked so help is promptly required.  If you know someone with classic or older Alfa, let them know.

Refer attached link after familiarization with rotate function on your tool bar.  Post application with your $20.00 fee ASAP

Then call Peter Shephard and advise attendance on 9592-1893.

Vehicles will meet up at a choice of convenient locations in Melb suburbia and travel by convoy to Kings Domain.  All members encouraged to attend, great veiwing, family picnic etc.

That's all we have for now!

Regards.

Just an update on this one.  We have about 8 cars booked in and the orgainisers have confirmed that they want as many Alfas as they can as it is the featured marque.

Remember that the car must be over 25 years old.  Although not organised by our club, it will be a great opportunity to get older classic and vintage Alfas on public display at Kings Domain (near Goverment house).

Cheers.

Hi John,
Dave and I will get the TZ1 there if we get the RWC in time. We have submitted the application form.
Cheers

Hi there, I am a RWC licence holder and could assist this week if you need help. Also there is a Vic Roads office close by.
I am in Frankston.

This is all good news.  We have now over 15 cars confirmed for public display representing Alfa Romeo over the 60 years - 1920's to 1985.

It was all short notice but club members ( and others) have got together and supported this event. Peter Shepard and his 1923 RL was the instigator of this as a member of the Federation of Vintage, Veteran and Classic Car Clubs.

In this 2010 year, they naturally chose Alfa Romeo to be the featured marque.

Our problem here is that many owners of Vintage, Veteran and Classic Alfas are not club members.  So if anyone knows of someone with an car that should be there, please mention this thanks.
