Hi mate,

Classic Alfa in the UK have both the RHS and LHS plastic shell for the armrests, 55 quid plus postage. My guess is that Alfaholics, Highwood Motors and possibly even EB Spares (all in the UK) may also have these.  Compare prices.  Goodluck with Ebay, as they may well turn up.

Guys

Bought an armrest recently from Classic Alfa (55 quid) in the UK and mentioned on another forum topic that whilst it is good quality and far stronger than the original there are problems. The colour is matt but original satin (I think) so will have to spray and it is also too wide with thick moulding. The silver trim won't fit and top vinyl cover is too thin to cover correctly.

Will need significant work if I bother fitting. Can't beat the original - would love to find another as have one brand new factory original to fit on the other door.

Paul, I know what you mean re the thickness of the replacement over the original.  I managed to get the silver trim to fit, but this involved sanding down the inside edge. It was a bit of a pain but will look good when I get back on the door.

late model Giulia Super armrests can be modified to suit the GT's.  The armrests are one piece - a solid lump of plastic so they don't warp and are more durable.  It only involves cutting out a square section (which you cannot see once mounted) at the forward end of the armrests.  It sounds ugly but it's the cheap option and just as effective.  Cognoscenti accepted, people would never notice as they are exactly the same shape.  No plastic chrome on these though.

Hi mate,

i have some armrests, both new and used, the ones i have new are the same as the uk ones which have no top peice on them, but the used ones need repairing i normally send mine to dash doctor in VIC, they do a good job on repairing them but they dont put the silver trim back in, i dont have the used arm rests on the website because i dont have many left but if you after a set give me a call on 0413 305 306 or email me through www.alfa105parts.com.au cheers
