Title: 147 Oil Change
Post by: iamsven on November 28, 2009, 09:22:02 AM
Hi all,
Have just bought myself a 2004 147 twinspark and I am in love all over again. She has just ticked over to 50000km with her previous service being at 36000km (with a cambelt change thank goodness). I am going to start regular 10000km oil changes as I think the factory recommendation of 20000km is a bit ambitious. Anyway I was just curious as to what type of oil would be recommended? I understand a good 10w60 is the go, but should I use a Fully synthenic or Semi Synthetic? I have always used Penrite in my other cars.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Damien

You are correct about the 20,000 kms.

I would get it fully serviced every 10 thousand kms and change the oil every 5 thousand kms because I can and do not use my car every day.

What you do depends on your budget, but get the oil with the correct spec.

Cheers

Dont know if your oil will last 10,000kms.....make sure you check it regularly.
