On my usual 'groundhog day' morning wander to the day job, I caught a glimpse of the $5 million powerball poster for tomorrow night. Of course this meant a million (well, 5 million) reasons to fire up the old classic driver to spend some imaginary winnings.
I found this hidden amongst the section titled "Alfa 33 1980's saloon NOT sports prototype"

I am just beginning my 33 education and must say this coupe is stunning- one of 20 built apparently.
Could go on and post several hundred links, but for those who appreciate some other idiosyncratic Italian racers, this looked compelling:

The story of Bonetto's 1952 Targa Florio victory in an Aurelia speaks volumes of Lancia's engineering genius in those days. I wish the D50 GP car had more of a chance to shine.
Yeah, driving to work wouldn't be so bad if you were doing it in that 33.
Ah your both dreamin ;D Mind you, if the big one fell into your lap, what a dream you could surely live ;D
Dreaming is all we have sometimes! Got paid last night and already all gone until next month...solid work (wedding coming up).
The poseurs were out at lunch on Collins St- Audi R8, Gallardo, and 2 F430 coupe's..so pedestrian ;)
Today, I want an 8C 2900 B (Mille Miglia history favoured). Anyone got something that fits the bill? Will accept 1:43 scale!
Would you settle for this 8C 2300 or the 250F?...they already are/were in Victoria...
The 8C is an Argentine built replica. The Clive Smith 250F is a Cameron Millar replica and is on the way to the UK for sale.
I could live with such replicas, for they look and sound like the real thing ;D
Weren't the CM 250F's made with the blessing of Maserati anyway? 9 were built in total, I think (no access to reference books at the moment).
Besides one of them, I'd also take the Lancia D50 replica made by Jim Stokes or a Crosthwaite & Gardiner Auto-Union. Cheers ;D
According to the book titled Maserati 250F by David McKinney there were ten, Cameron Millar cars, CM1-CM10. Plus chassis numbers 2522 and 2511. CM 10 is a Piccolo type and owned by Clive Smith it was built by Hall & Fowler for Cameron Millar.
