Title: Alfetta window scraper rubber
Post by: bonkfrog on November 06, 2009, 10:12:41 AM
I've given up sourcing these from Italy - horribly expensive when mail costs are calculated. So, I'm looking for a few Alfetta (sedan & coupe) owners to join with me in purchasing a 30 metre roll of a replacement from SA. I'll get a sample to make sure it's suitable and get a cost. Late model sedans will require around 3 metres so I'd need 8 co-buyers.
Please email me at bonkfrog@bigpond,net,au  to register interest.

Cheers

You are referring to the piece of rubber that is riveted to the door, in order to create a seal with the window yes?

If price is not astronomical, i will be in for one sedan, possibly two.

replacement material from Italy is made from the original design extrusion die but does not have felt on the inside of the wiper, however they work just as well

I finally got a sample of the rubber that we thought might fit Alfettas. However, it's far too small, even though it looks like the same profile. A dead end I'm afraid. I'll keep looking & will post to the forum if I can locate some. Maybe we should import a bundle of it?
