Well Sandown was....interesting (read: a complete bl00dy disaster!!).

I will speak only on the Group S punters.  If anyone else can comment on the other Alfa's, please chip in.

There were 5 entered.  One didn't show, one was on the trailer after Friday practice, one ran out of oil pressure without completing a lap of qualifying, which leaves two that started race 1 (one from the back of the grid as had battery issues that stopped him from running in Qualifying).

Race 1, one finished, one DNF'd as overheated (and later discovered a blown head gasket).

Race 2 & 3 the final man standing completed both races and is looking forward to getting his race engine fitted!!

Congrats to Marcus Hancock who managed to finish the weekend with some solid results.  More than the rest of us can say.

And the blown head gasket, Phil?

Battery was Marcus (actually it was an alternator that caused battery issue)

Head gasket was me  >:(  oh well.....I hope it's 'just' a head gasket, will find out when engine comes out for a refresh.  Header tank bracket come away in R1 and the header tank was sitting on the extractors, boiling the billy....so when I was refilling the radiator after fitting new header tank, I had water coming out the carby.....dont think water should be coming out of there  :o

Well at least it wasn't as bad as Peter Brock's famous reason for retiring from a race...he said electrical problem...hmmm the conrod came through the block and knocked off the alternator!

;D
