Hi All,
looking for a 156 Sportswagon - selespeed (or if you actually know of one fitted with an auto I am very interested).
Budget up to 12k in shipping to Perth
Thanks
bret
Not sure why you want the wagon but I would expect its roomier than the sedan and you like the selespeed as its an auto of sorts. - a robitic clutch to be exact.
have you thought of investing in a 166 as it is a larger saloon and auto only. Got a big boot and a real auto - triptronic.
Would that be an option ?
Cheers.
Hey John I can't comment from first hand experience on the 166 though have previously been tempted, but as a 156 sportwagon owner for the past 2 years I can say that it is such a practical car, and from my experience I would prefer it to a sedan everyday. But selespeeed, no way, give me a manual every time. Mind you while mine is not for sale, I guess everything has a price. ;D

Keep your eyes open on the usual sites etc and car yards Brett. And unfortunately try to remain patient as i too was shopping for a wagon but there werent too many around in Perth, letalone in my price brakcet or covered my wish list at the time (over a 2mth period of looking i guess)so i ended up with an 07 166Ti which i must say is a delight. When you do get it, come join the WA club

Yup thats a fact :).. I'm looking interstate as well - shipping from teh east coast is around $1000 so it doesn't hurt too much - and the guys in Vic have been fantastic in test driving it for me :)

Hi Bret
Happy to assist in checking out cars & any logistical work if you see anything in the Brisbane area.
Cheers
Rory
Will do, much appreciated :)
John,
re the 166 - yup it has a huge boot and a real automatic. However...
Its kinda an italian version of my saab 9000 :) To be honest for that size car I'll take the saab - I know all its tricks by now :).. (also it has heated seats - heaven in winter!)
Somehow I like the looks of the 156 more and funnily enough the 2000/2 looks in particular - no really I'm a guy, but hey :)
Cheers Bret
