Evan, Do we know yet what will be the format/categories for the race weekend - it will determine where I focus my efforts (ie fixing and preparing) over the next few months.

Best to get in touch with Phil Baskett I think. He'll have the most current info.

Yes talk to Phil, at the last Club Night he said the organisers want to know what cars are interested in being a part of the event, because the program will be worked to accomodate all Alfas.
Thought I would just mention that the 100th birthday celebrations in Italy are taking form here an excert from an OS website;
Now the dates for the centennial have been officially announced and will cumulate in 100 hours of activities from June 23rd thru 26th of June 2010. Events will be staged in the city of Milano, at the race track in Monza, the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, and in Balocco at the Alfa proving grounds. Various activities are being finalized and include; motorcades, driving course, exhibitions, workshops, music performances, shows and a group drive through the city center of Milan for the local people. The goal is to transform Milan into the global epicenter of the beloved brand - a 100 hour non-stop celebration of all things Alfa Romeo. There is also a strong rumor that a new and very special centennial Alfa Romeo model will debut at the event.
Alfa Romeo clubs throughout Europe are busy making plans to attend this event. An expected turnout of ten thousand cars will converge on Milan for this celebration.
I am planning on heading over as our celebrations are in March...and as I have family throughout Milan accomodation won't be a problem for me ;)
Great post ProvaRacing. Some club members are planning to go to Milan and meet up mid June so this is good news.
Can you post the link as this may assist researching info and travel plans ?
Cheers.
Ok John, well that quote came from a site I follow;
http://askme.org/alfa-adventures/2009/10/7/alfa-romeo-centennial-milan-2010/.html (http://askme.org/alfa-adventures/2009/10/7/alfa-romeo-centennial-milan-2010/.html)
But as it says Alfa Romeo has listed a site as the meeting point for the billions of Alfa Romeo nuts around the world... ::) I know what you're thinking it's a bit of an exaggeration isn't it...alright then not "nuts" but Alfisti ;D
You have go to http://www.askme.com/index/.php (http://www.askme/index/.php) and send an e-mail to be invited into the site...basically you say why you are Alfisti nut haha
Ciao
The news from one of our own 2010 committee members who actually met last week with the people that Alfa Romeo Italy have tasked with the 2010 celebrations, is that the celebrations have not been finalised yet!! ???
But apparently something will be happening in Milano in that week of June 24 2010. It will be a bit squeezy since the annual Milan fashion show is on the same time!
A group of us have already booked through South Services in Belgium to do the 5 day tour starting at Spa Italia, then onto viewing the Schlumpf collection in Mulhouse, then onto Milan arriving on 23/6/2010. Can't wait! ;D ;D
It's been confirmed by RIAR (Register Italian Alfa Romeo) in Milan that the weekend of 26th & 27th June 2010 will be the celebration for all Alfisti from clubs, collectors, dealers, journalists and car fans in general.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be symbol of Alfa Romeo's tradition reaching into present and future. And it will be this new model that be the target launch (following its showing at Geneva in March) along with past models of the Giulietta.
I have included a google map of the Parco Sempione that i recognised in the video (the area lined in red being the activities location).

PS I should be getting the program soon hopefully and will post up when I have it. Ciao ;)
