Title: Roof racks for 156
Post by: L4OMEO on August 30, 2009, 07:26:45 PM
Hi everyone

Anyone had any experience with roof racks for a 156 sedan? I need a set to cart a kayak around, no idea how these mount, install/remove, limitations, risk of damage etc etc etc. Ultimately I'd prefer not to use anything, but no other options right now so any feedback from other's experiences very welcome.

Cheers everyone
Rory

when i had a 156, i bought Thule racks. nice quality, and not overly expensive, and readily available.

hidden behind the rubber door seals along the top edge are two protruding 'knobs', over which the rack feet secure to.

Thule offer a huge range of accessories to carry whatever gear you want, including kayaks.

Thanks for the feedback shiny_car,

As you said Thule racks seem readily availble & are around $300/set new which is reasonable enough. Time to go shopping.

Cheers
