Title: Spettacolo Clarification of Wash n' Shine Rules.
Post by: John Hanslow on August 20, 2009, 01:28:08 PM
Just wanted to clarify one important issue for the Wash n' Shine prior to any advertising of this event for Nov 15.

Last year it was mentioned by a few people that the Wash n' Shine judging form should be two pages - one for exterior and one for interior.  We only used a 1 page form for the exterior of the car.

I clarified this issue at the National level and it was pointed out that simply - the Wash n' Shine category is exterior only - so we use a one page form.  That's it - washing & detailing the experior of the car only.

The Concorso is for exterior and interior and takes judging to a completely different and higher level covering many additional variables i.e. history, originality, age, restoration etc.

While the Concorso Class cars are usually classics and restored to the highest level possible, I am surprised we do not have more entries here reflecting a broader range with Alfas reflecting the last 100 years of motoring.

Regards.

Applications will be available prior to the event and also posted on the web .

Basically we will have about 12 classes of vehicles.  There is even a class of non- members and peoples choice.   Your vehicle will be in the broard classification of 932 Series for the the 156 range including the GTA, Spiders, GT, 147 and 166 range of vehicles.

We got a great turn out last year and really looking forward to this year.

Cheers.
