 8) Oohhhh.  Sounds like fun.

Trev, any idea of minimum and maximum number of team members and cars?

Easter huh.  Sow now I have to decide between FoSC Bathurst, Mallala Historics and a 24hr event......oh and spending time with the family.

They have to run short track overnight to comply with Council by-laws - go figure.

How bizarre  ??? That will be interesting.....count me out for the traffic cop directing cars at the change over time!

That will also have an impact on track density and the amount of teams you will be allowed to accept I would imagine.

Well, fantastic, AROCA has been talking (mostly talking) and was thinking of an AROCA 24 hr, I did speak with Winton and did get the info that only short track can be run due to the long track section borders onto the nearby houses too closely.

I was going to start with a 12 hr first.

The logistics of officials and all the other matters got too much for me to look into, so I would congratulate you guys.

Also I would like to speak to you about the organization, would be interesting.

Well done.

I wouldn't mind being in it but usually in bed by 9pm and really can't see in the dark.  Plus Alfetta headlights are just a little brighter than a candle light.

At the last 24 hour event at Winton, since the Alfetta GTV's have 4 standard headlights, 2 headlights pointed forward, and 1 each pointed outwards (to see INTO corners!)   ;D ;D

Spoke to Alan Goodall tonight re the proposed 24 Hr Relay and Alan and I are very interested if we can get a team together.

I have run in two of the previous open 24 Hr Races and Alan has ran in one.

Both of us have allways been keen to run in another 24 Hr Race if one ever eventuated as the earlier races were such huge and enjoyable events.

Come on Phill come in with us and we could be the start of the First Team I'm sure that Ian James and John Floyd will come on board also.

One thing though with the 24 Hrs we will need a very large Team of Helpers for each team.

If anybody had a spot that needing filling for this 24 hour i would be pretty keen. Just be warned i'm not going to be that quick.

Rob, i am assuming you will return to this at some stage. So i'll just put it here that if i don't see you at the club meeting next week. Yes, i will be available Fri-Sun to help with the 6 hour. More details as you work them out please  :)

Does this mean I'm not allowed to bring the GTV and I have to run in the Super?

Ah!  That's the reason why John Floyd never took off his Team Quattroporte signage off his Giulietta!  ;)

There you go Trev, I think you could count on at least two teams from AROCA Vic.

Robert,

put me down as one of the 'helpers'.  I can change spark-plugs and make sandwiches and I generally remember to wash my hands in between the two tasks.

Love to be part of an Alfa Team.

Very exciting!  Must look at the calendar now......that's going to be a very busy few weeks.

I heard they were handing out flyers at the Phillip Island 6-Hr on the weekend so you'd better be ready to get your entries in as soon as they open.

Sorry everyone, I have given you a bum steer.  The whole 24 Hours will be run on the longer National Track.

What did you do Trev, offer the residents a night in a nearby B&B?

That is good news, it makes the pit lane more useable, and will be far safer.

the regs will be out in 1 -2 weeks as they are still having issues with the head light issue wether or not to allow driving lights or not  plus the lighting of the track it self as i was talking to grant from pedders bendigo who is organising the event

to enter you need 6-10 cars the price is $2500 and only 40 teams to be allowed to enter so you will need to get in early real early

"All competitors are required to use the fuels supplied by the organizers"

What's up with that?

Ah gotcha, maybe I should read them sometime.  We better disqualify that Mustang from the 6-hour then.  I'm sure everyone else was using organisers' fuel....
