Title: GT 1300 Junior Step Front Replacement Headlights
Post by: njh1964 on August 04, 2009, 10:16:00 PM
Hi All,

Can anyone suggest locally sourced replacement headlights to suit a GT 1300 Junior step front?

I'm not worried about originality, just functionality... so halogen units would be good. I believe Narva has a unit of the right size, but I have no idea if they will fit the step front headlight buckets. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Regards,

Nick

you should be able to do a conversion from the carello setup to a more modern H4 system.

thats what my 74 junior has, even though your car is an earlier one the headlight systems was the same for almost all the 105 coupes i thought.

Hi AK,

The only problem is that my car is a 2 headlight step front, rather than the later 4 headlight, and the 2 headlights are a larger diameter that the 2 large units in a 4 headlight setup.

Ideally, I'd like to find a couple of off-the-shelf modern headlight units which will fit into the GT1300 Junior headlight buckets and brackets.

Regards,

Nick

nick i had a set for a step nose but they where so bad i threw them out navara ones are close to the diameter but adapting them to the buckets will be a problem i got a new set from clasic alfa in the uk price was resonable and i had them in a week and they were a perfect fit h4 conversion is recomended  i think localy you will only get bad to mediocre 2nd hand ones i choose to go new cause they lift the whole aperance of the car and the light bulbs work better with shinny new reflectors hope this helps
cheers mario
