Title: Alfa 90 Interior light and other electrical issues
Post by: MarcusG on July 25, 2009, 05:57:40 PM
Hi everybody

Can anyone help me with my 90's interior light not turning off. I have had to pull out the globes to stop them from working. I know that they are controlled by the timer relay which I have swapped for another from a working car with no luck. I have also checked that all the door latch switches work and the ARC works as all the door open lights turn on and off correctly. Any ideas where to next?

Also the headlight warning light on the ARC intermittently comes on but all lights work correctly, how does this sensor work any ideas why it would come on if all lights work correctly?

I guess its an earth somewhere, but when indicating the speedo will dip with every blink. Any ideas?

Last one but any ideas on how to increase brightness of dash lights? Can you bypass and dimmer or put in better globes?

Thanks in advance for your help, I have been trying to work these ones out for ages!!!

Marcus

Switches work fine when the doors are closed but I would like to have the lights work with the doors.

Just in case someone else is having this issue I thought I'd better let you know that it was the computer behind the glove box that was faulty. It controls the light timer amougst other things. Replaced it and works great.

It would be good if someone had a wiring diagram of how they are built so they could be rebuilt.
