Am i the first?...
i was attending a Quarantine inspection in Fremantle this arvo of an BMW 320 TD private import and spotted 4 x Alfa Rome MiTo's against the fence, fresh off a ship and waiting delivery.
So, if they are here in WA, they must be over east now too.
Looks pretty good in the flesh and will challenge the small Fiat, Peugeot, etc.
drove a mito for a few weeks while holidaying in italy.
great car and will be placing my order as soon as prices are available.
they need to wind the boost up on the turbo version as it's not putting out impressive figures.
the power to weight ratio will suffer...
you need to drive the mito before passing judgment.
sensational and fun to drive.
Went to Lance Dixon yesterday to check out the Mito, looks like a nice little car.
Going back on Tuesday with Dad to test drive it ;D
Took a trip back to the dealership today and test drove the Mito.
First impressions were good, punchy engine, but only when in dynamic mode(otherwise it has no power), build quality reminds us of the Alfa Sud, one panel came loose during the drive :P Plastics looked very cheap and didn't feel all that good.
Other than that, the car was fun to drive, handles well, responsive, and made a good noise high in the rev range.
Mind you couldn't drive it too hard as it only had 120km on the clock.
went to the official launch here in Canberra last week. First thoughts were the pics in magazines didn't do it any justice. Its a very nice car in the flesh.. They had two to look at both red, one optioned with bigger wheels, tan leather and sunroof.. That looked very hot...
next Im going to go speak to dealer to see if I can have a turn...
I went past Lance Dixon today. They had a red Mito parked out the front.
I was absolutely gob smacked at how good it looks in the metal.
Cheers,
Marco.
the mito looks very nice in the metal.
the build quality is brilliant too.
Looked at a silver one through the window at Zagame today, and I'm still not convinced. About 50% better in the metal than looking at photos, but still can't get over that shocked impression the car has from the front, and the massive front overhang. Look forward to seeing it in black or red.
