Title: Selenia Motor Oils
Post by: saratoga on June 18, 2009, 10:53:21 AM
Hi Guys
My servicing dealer has substituted Selenia Star for the Selenia Racing that was in my 156 JTS during a service done last week.  I had been warned previously by another dealer where it was being serviced not to change brand and type of oil due to the sulphur content.  Should I be concerned?
The car has now clicked the magical 100k mark and does a lot of high speed freeway driving.  I have also sent a note off the the oil importer Turin Imports in SA for their opinion.
Cheers
Steve

Get in contact with Julie at Cartorque in Kent town SA. My understanding is high quality synthetic oils are best and if your changing from the basic, shell,bp,mobil, castrol etc you will need to flush and then use the high quality synthetic. I use all synthetic in my GTA but cheap and nasty in my 90 as it guzzles copious quantities via the engine. The gearbox/diff are synthetic oils
