Title: service for 147 Selespeed
Post by: Peter J on June 15, 2009, 11:28:22 AM
Hi ther all,

I am new here and my 147 is my first Alfa.  It is very nice but needs some TLC...  It has just developed a shuddering cluthc and I am informed that it needs a new solenoid most likely.  A $1000 quote!  It also needs a catylitic converter, the rear one replaced which is quoted at $2500!  I have lost my day job and am setting up a business and new career and have to be careful about spending.

I would like to know if there are specialist mechanics in Melbourne as I would like a more personalised service and a way to stage work.  Can anyone suggest a list of mechanics with a good reputation for quality work?

Cheers, Peter Jago.

Have a look at our sponsors page on the right hand side of home page.  There is a list of Alfa Specialists. eg. Maranello- Pursang Motors,  Monza Motors, Italian Job to name a few.

Make a few calls and see how you go. There are a few selsepeed specialist and cheaper fixes are available depending on the issue.

Some offer discounts for Club members - so join up and become a member and get the benefits.

Cheers.
