Title: Interior Restorations
Post by: Phil_1750 on May 18, 2009, 11:02:25 PM
Hi,

I am planning to restore my 1970 1750GTV's interior. I need to replace/repair the timber veneers and re-do the vinyl around the centre console.
Can anyone recommend professionals who does this type of work? or has anyone purchaced the veneer kits from alfa holics or such like?

Thanks

A similar thread was started back in March. Have a look at this

There are veneer kits available from suppliers but I have not used or tried them so I cannot comment on quality/suitability etc. Check around the usual contacts to compare prices, quality etc.

Club member Colin Byrne has been doing some work on the interior of his own car, and his results look VG so he might be a good person to talk to but wait until he has recovered from Targa.

Hi All,
Just thought i might post a few photos of my 1750 console i have just finished restoring, ready to go back in the car.
Ended up doing it all myself using Alfaholics Veneer kit.
The first photo is a before shot.
Pretty good result i think.
