Title: Springs
Post by: 1750GTV on April 07, 2009, 09:12:07 PM
As I mentioned in a previous post, sometime soon I want to rebuild the front, then rear, suspension on my car.
At the moment, I'm after advice regarding springs.

I don't want to lower the car.
I'll most likely fit Koni Yellows on the front and Reds on the rear. This seems to be the commonest advice for my purposes.

Do I keep the originals - they seem OK, but I haven't measured them yet ?
Do I try and source some more modern progressive rate springs ? The car is for road use, not racing, but it would be nice if it handled a bit better without compromising the ride quality too much.
Who in Australia supplies springs for 105 Alfas ? King Springs don't make front springs for 105s, but they do make standard linear rate rears.
About how much is a decent set of springs ?

All advice welcomed,
Chris

Chris

Suggest you have a chat to Vin Sharp at PACE (03) 9844 0147. He has more knowledge than most about springs and suspension settigns for 105's (and most other Alfas anyway)
