Title: Alfetta V8 3.0 litre
Post by: bonkfrog on March 08, 2009, 10:05:31 AM
As far as I know these cars were planned but never built. My guess is that they used the Montreal engine as a base but I'd be interested to know what information other forum members have on this exotic beast. Now, if I can just get my hands on a (cheap) Montreal engine  . . .

I suspect you'd have more luck finding a rust free sud ;)

If you happen to find two cheap montreal engines, be sure to let me know.

Nice long thread on AlfaBB.com about this:

http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/alfetta-gtv6-1975-1986/22167-alfetta-gtv8-la-bomba.html

(as usual on the alfabb - lots of contradictory 'facts' but interesting nonetheless)

cheers,
Evan.

Here is a good link regarding the Montreal Engined Alfettas, covers some of the info previous but good overview of the v8's.

If they had just made those 400 road cars !
