Title: Brera spare wheel bracket
Post by: SJP on March 14, 2026, 10:59:18 PM
Hi all. Can someone please point me in the right direction of how the spare wheel in a Brera should be secured to the car spare wheel well? I think I'm missing a bracket - I have the long hold-down bolt that should secure everything in place but nowhere to screw it into. One Uk pic seems to show a steel bracket that's fixed to the bottom of the wheel well with a threaded hole in the centre for the hold down bolt.

The spare wheel is just loose in the well and consequently makes quite a lot of noise.  Photos or a part number/where to source would be fantastic. Is it the same in a 159 or different?

The Brera has a bracket to hold the spare wheel from moving around.
It is a three sided steel 'box' about 10 cm high. see pics.
It is bolted to the floor.
Yours has possibly been removed, but if so the bolt holes should be obvious.
btw I believe the same bracket in the Spider is welded to the floor!

Brilliant, thank you so much for the response and pics. No idea why someone would remove it.

Correction: The bracket in the Spider is also bolted in (not welded).
