Title: Wheel sizes for 105 serie
Post by: HansJahr on February 22, 2026, 06:46:21 PM
Hi all.
I'm getting close to needing new tires for my 1750. It currently has the original 14' steel rims. It seems to be common to put 15' on these days. I personally think the car looks better with a bit more rubber, and am leaning towards a new set of 14'. Are there any advantages in going for 15', like better handling or more tire models to choose from? Or is it all about aesthetic preference?
Cheers
Hans

It's common to use 15" as there are more tyre options available.  Also, Alfa ran 15" rims on the early 105's eg. Duetto.

If you have 14" rims already, then stick with those, unless you're buying some new wheeels then go 15".  Michelin, Pirelli and Verdstien are available (import) using new(ish) compounds and original sizes/tread blocks for original rims/look.  Locally,... check.

I have Yokohama AD08 on mine (15")
