I've owned and tinkered with my 2008 939 Spider for the last 12 months and discovered that the roof mechanism is temperamental.
One of the fixes I had to attend to was to replace the roof flap motors which is a common issue and should be considered (in my opinion) a wear and tare item as they are a common failure point.
Instead of paying the $350+ per motor (2 are needed per car) I sourced the motors directly from the manufacturer in China. Only catch was I had to buy a minimum of 20 units. These are reproductions as the originals are no longer manufactured. These units have been tested on my car and work.
I'm not turning this into a business, this is a one-off and I just want to get rid of the extra units I have. I will be keeping several motors for myself as spares. I recommend all Spider owners have spares on hand.
Message me if you are interested. $70 each unit, or $140 a pair. +postage or pick up from Bentleigh 3204. I will only sell as a pair. Only 8 pairs available.
